Castilla Orthodontics is looking for an Orthodontic Clinician to join our clinical team. You’ll work alongside our orthodontists in a fast-paced, multi-doctor practice, helping each patient visit run smoothly while making patients of all ages feel comfortable and cared for.

• Assist orthodontists during exams, procedures and treatment appointments
• Prepare operatories, instruments and equipment, and keep patient flow on schedule
• Perform clinical duties under doctor supervision, including:
• Placing and removing arch wires and separators
• Sizing bands and preparing teeth for bonding
• Cementing passive appliances
• Fabricating and delivering thermoform retainers
• Take orthodontic records: photos, radiographs and intraoral digital scans
• Explain appliance care, elastics and oral hygiene to patients and parents
• Document treatment notes accurately in Cloud 9
• Sterilize instruments, maintain clinical equipment, and follow OSHA, HIPAA and infection control protocols
• Help with opening and closing duties and occasional practice marketing events

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Current CPR for Healthcare Providers certification
• Orthodontic or dental assisting experience preferred, especially in a fast-paced practice
• Knowledge of orthodontic instruments, sterilization and infection control
• Comfortable working with children, teens and adults
• Organized, reliable and detail-oriented, and able to stay calm and professional when it’s busy
• Comfortable with practice management software and other computer systems
• Coachable, positive and eager to learn
